Tom - what time are you planning to arrive at the B&F? Would you like some help setting up, decanting, pouring etc?

BBR and Offley opened at 19.00 to Audouze gently in the wine cabinet overnight.

F83 decanted last night at 2000. Back into the bottle and Vac-U-Vined at 2130. QA sample good.

What a great pic! Although '83 isn't a top notch vintage, I'm sure there are going to be some very good Ports drunk tonight. My money is on the Gould Campbell and Offley Boa Vista showing well. And of course, the Graham's. Enjoy!

Overall, I think that 1983 is better than 1985. Sure, '85 has a small handful of outstanding Ports that '83 can't match, but the rest of '85 seems inferior to '83 to me.Mike J. Dow, Gould Campbell, Graham, and if it is untainted Cockburn should all be top flight. Too bad you didn't have a Ramos Pinto - I often have that in the running for Port of the Vintage in 1983.
