Good nose and palate. Liked. My joint fav - 5+/7 and 2pts for WON.

Ah! A lovely garnet wine with a promising nose and a palate full of rich fruit and life. Nice middleweight port. My WOTN and 3rd for the group.

Ni83. Red, 70% opaque. I came to this late, by when my TNs had become concise: “Raspberry”.

E: Mid-red, tending to light red at the rim.
N: Very rich red fruit, perhaps some mint.
P: A pleasant palate if a little short lived. (1 point).

A gentle mature red colour, 40% opaque. Closed on the nose when first poured, still closed 90 minutes later. Light entry on the palate, without intensity of flavour although the texture is attractive. The fruit (and tannins) develop on the mid- and late-palate. Candied red fruit and dark chocolate tannins finish which deliver a nice chewiness to the wine. 87/100. Decanted 13½ hours.

Odd how my nose failed to pick up any of the aromas experienced by others - perhaps I was suffering from nose fatigue by the time I got to the last wine.
