1977 Croft: Brick red. Very soft, a little heat, extremely long. Later I though nosing of meat beef. ‟Tastes of port”, I wrote. Utterly lovely.

I absolutely LOVE this port ... I think this is one of the best 77s for drinking now.

Not one of Croft's best vintages, but is drinking now for sure.

Good to read these notes. I have not had a bad bottle of this wine. Invariably seductive, deep, and charming.
It may be drivel, but it's not meaningless.
