1983 Offley Boa Vista

Post by DRT » 00:38 Wed 04 Feb 2009

Decanted 1 hour and 30 minutes ago.

This is the 4th time I have had this wine in 12 months and it always amazes me how dark and youthful it is. The nose is peppery and a little hot right now but I know from previous bottles that this is likely to integrate later tonight or tomorrow. A lovely thick texture with tons of fruit and tannin. The finish is slightly bitter and a bit short but it hasn't been out of the bottle long.
