1948 Taylor vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Elegant red in colour, mature but not elderly. Lavender on the nose, smelling pleasantly fresh. Very sweet in the mouth with lovely fruit, elegance and a nice complexity. The aftertaste is slow to develop and is extremely short. Perfectly fine, but not a great port. 87/100. Drunk 26 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
