2003 Taylor LBV
Filtered. Light red in colour, giving the appearance of some age. Quite young smelling on the nose, a little subdued. Light bodied, but heavily tannic. The fruit is elegant and subdued. Very acidic structure. Fruit builds to high levels on the palate. A massive aftertaste, with huge citric / grapefruit flavours. 91-93. Drunk 26 June 2009.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
