2007 Quinta do Vesuvio Capela vintage port

Elegantly perfumed blackberry juice. Refined entry with huge amounts of perfumed fruit. Tannins are strongly present but never dominate the fruit. Surprisingly soft in the mouth. Massive aftertaste dominated by dark chocolate and blackberry. Much better showing than in London in May. 93-95. Drunk 28 June 2009.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
