Mg63: mid-red, though 75% translucent. DMS described the nose as ‟dusty”. Plenty of acidity, not much fruit. Weak.

Pale red in colour, weak rim. Dusty fruit on the nose—almost of mouldy oranges. Sweet and simple in the mouth; develops a little dry tannins and some pleasant bitterness. Good development in the mouth; nice flavours. The aftertaste is at a low level, soft and very gentle. Not a greatly impressive wine. 86/100. Decanted 4 hours.
Top Port in 2017 (so far): Graham Stone Terraces 2015 and Quinta do Vesuvio 1994
2016 Port of the year: Cockburn 1908
