1994 Ferreira

Post by g-man » 02:14 Thu 01 Mar 2012

T+30

Dark, opaque, showing no signs of age.

Slightly muted nose but you could sneak out some blueberries with a hint of lavender

All I can say is purple on the palate. Purple this, purple that.
with a very strong woody component on the finish.

And the heat. This sucker really burns.

A very brawny young port, with very little finesse.

86 for now. But I can see it mellowing out in a 15+ years or so.

At the 3 hour mark as the night went on, I couldn't drink this anymore and had to put it aside for some NV Dow's Trademark.

This showed no mellowing out at all.

It was rough, tannic and spirity still.

Will have to give it a shot tonight at t+24
