2007 Quinta de Roriz
Deep purple-red in colour, still opaque. Gentle nose, soft and perfumed - gently attractive. Soft entry with a lovely minerality to the bramble fruit; the tannins have softened and are nicely rounded to give an enduring charcoal support. Lovely fruit finish, great length. A really nice wine, elegant and balanced. 87/100. Drunk at the BBR Port Walk on 28 November 2013.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
