ERROR: No black pudding for DRT, despite your best intentions to persuade me to have it. (But if your intention was to take it from my plate please leave the order as is)jdaw1 wrote:The current draft of the food order. When a few more people have decided please could somebody check for errors.

If I did have a bottle that belonged to you, should I decant it before traveling to London on Monday morning?

Updated draft of the food order.
Error was a real error: I hadn’t realised that anybody other than a quinoa-eating pants-consuming teetotaller would refuse the blood sausage. Live and learn.
Alex should nudge Henry. (Alex: that’s you.)
Who is best able to nudge JWEW and TC?

Hmm. It's a long decant or none at all. Difficult. This is not a young port, but neither is it very venerable. I'd like it to have an hour or two at least.DRT wrote:If I did have a bottle that belonged to you, should I decant it before traveling to London on Monday morning?
Go on then. How many hours is that likely to be?

What time will you arrive to Redcross Way? Maybe, if it suits, I could collect from you in the afternoon and take it to the B&F.DRT wrote:Twelve. I will be there at kick-off time. An earlier pick-up from Gresham Street would work.

So shall it be. I will coordinate with you on the day. I may be playing Hexagonal Thing in the afternoon.DRT wrote:I will be there at kick-off time. An earlier pick-up from Gresham Street would work.

No problem, but please don't show your Hexagonal Thing to Julie on reception or she might call the Police.

I will attempt to get Henry's order, but even a 90(ish) % complete order is better than nothing.
What time do we want to eat?
My order is:
Potted shrimps
Black and blue sirloin steak (black and blue meaning burnt on the outside and rare in the middle please. If it can't be cooked this way then medium rare) with fries and peas/beans.

I may leave a bottle at B&F for you to decant at a similar time. I would hate for you to feel that your time was not being used productively!djewesbury wrote:So shall it be. Given that I am carrying yours down un-decanted can I also give you mine to decant at the B&F, please?djewesbury wrote:No problem Ben.

This will all be fine so long as I have assistance from the inventor of Hexagonal Thing. Perhaps he might bring his little bag of funnels (etc)? What I might call his 'port paraphernalia'.

If he brings seven half bottles of Croft 2004 LBV you can use them as Things. First one to drink four is the winnerdjewesbury wrote:This will all be fine so long as I have assistance from the inventor of Hexagonal Thing. Perhaps he might bring his little bag of funnels (etc)? This connects mysteriously to a conversation I've just had about π^2/6. Yes, perhaps we might try this.
