2009 Calem LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottling date unknown. Scarlet in colour, 99% opaque. Fruit led blackcurrant nose. Silky in texture, the tannins are quick to show in the rich fruit and together these give a lovely development to the palate. This is nice, straightforward and well done LBV port. 88/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
