1957 Kopke Colheita (bottled 2015)

Bottled 2015. Brown in colour with red hues; 50% opaque. Served very cold this had a plastic edge to the nose but was rich and concentrated on the palate with significant levels of tannins drying the cheeks. Big in flavour and with a powerful apple acidity that balances the honey sweetness, this is a well structured port. The finish is cheek-tingling and full of chewy honey. Delicious. 94/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
