2012 Dow Senhora da Ribeira

From Dow. Deep purple, opaque. Soft and subdued blueberry nose; gentle velvet texture with languid blueberry fruit and very powerful - painful - levels of acidity that masks the slow emergence of the tannins. The modest finish is chewy and full of licorice root. 91-93/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
