Mature brick red, 60% opaque. Lovely nose of fresh spring days and sweet lilac perfume - delicious. Sweet and elegant entry with a lovely syrupy texture. Full and flavoursome, composed of rich mature fruit, perfumed with cedar wood and cinnamon. Lovely complexity. Some heat on the aftertaste, then a golden syrup and raisin finish. Wonderful finish, long and lingering with a whole range of flavours; a delight to enjoy the lingering finish. 98/100. Decanted 3 hours.
Top Port in 2017 (so far): Taylor 2010 LBV
2016 Port of the year: Gould Campbell 1977

Cr45. Dark red, 50% opaque. Nose of dark sweet fruit. Palate soft and big. Slightly acrid. good mature Port, but not great.

Later, the acridity still showing.
