NV Sandeman 20YO Tawny (Bottled 2013)

Post by AHB » 23:46 Sat 27 Jun 2015

Bottled 2013. Pale ochre-red in colour, 10% opaque. Little on the nose, perhaps with a touch of acacia honey. Smooth on the tongue, rather languid with the flavour profile and acidity being slow to build up. Restrained and full of self confidence. More balanced, more orange marmalade than the 10 year old, more mouthfilling with a bigger presence. 89/100. May 2015.
Top Port in 2017 (so far): Graham Stone Terraces 2015 and Quinta do Vesuvio 1994
2016 Port of the year: Cockburn 1908
