L'Intendant is a fantastic shop in the centre of Bordeaux.. Has anyone else ever been here? The best wine shop I've ever entered. Several floors of Bordeaux; the top floor taken up with three racks of double-mags and a shelf of older vintages (not pictured) going back to 1970. Excellent value too.

This surely is a great wine-shop. What did you buy there?

Re: L'Intendant, Bordeaux
Hello André! I only bought a few things - I hadn't room for bottles in my luggage, having been away for a month; and because I was already travelling with a large video camera. So I bought only a small selection of bottles - a Château Brown 2011 as a present, a Petit Lion de Las Cases 08, and two halves of Chasse-Spleen 11. But I will be back, either with a car or some specialist luggage!

That's a nice little collection you bought there. Perhaps you should ask them if they also ship their wines abroad.
Did you also visit the Badie (http://www.badie.com) wine shop in Bordeaux?

The only other shop visited was across the road from this one. I forget the name. It was voluminous but not as encyclopaedic.
