NV Boeira 20YO Tawny

Post by AHB » 22:21 Sun 29 May 2016

Boeira also offer a VV tawny with an average age of over 100 years, but this was not available for tasting.

Copper tone in colour, 15% opaque. A lifted nose with attractive fruit and sous bois. Rounded and smooth entry. As with the 10 year old tawny this port is very elegant but with a bit more presence, drier and with a hint of tannin. There is a lovely, mouthfilling aftertaste and a great finish of creme brulee. 89 04-May-16
Top Port in 2017 (so far): Graham Stone Terraces 2015 and Quinta do Vesuvio 1994
2016 Port of the year: Cockburn 1908
