1977 Niepoort: the palest, really quite brown and translucent. The nose best described by Anthony Heading as “syrupyâ€, then as “rum and raison ice creamâ€. Very light in the mouth, with a little heat in the back of the mouth, though with some oil. The ‘oldest’ of these ports, by a long margin. Score 4-2.
