1977 Ferreira: hint of brown. On the nose heat, and faint sugar. Pine, thought I. ‟Herbal component”, said another. Then JHG concluded ‟sap of a pine tree”. To taste a delicate start, a little heat mid-palate, and great length. Light but silky-soft port. Lovely. Very Portuguese style.

I smelled pine sap, brown sugar and a slight red berries.

spirity red berry that was a bit thin on the palate, felt very delicate and soft.

ends with a 45 second burnt sugar finish.

tho it gets better as the night went on and the spirits began to mellow. 90
