Decanter 14:20. Translucent mid-red tinged with brown. Looking fine. Cranberries to taste.

F77: Very translucent, but dark red. Nosing of deli meat (rather like the ’70), and pepper. Lovely, but much lighter than it should have been, and far lighter than the F77 at the F-Plan.

Very disappointed with this bottle.

Baked cinnamon and slight crushed pepper on the nose. slightly muted.

Med to light milky mouth feel with baked fruit and a slight spicy root vegetable with a slightly bitter finish.

89.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing bottle of the Fonseca 1977, far below the wonderful bottle we had in the summer of 2008. Light and brownish in colour with a chemical, paint-like nose. It tastes sweet and rather simple. There is some pretty fruit, but it is hardly a shadow of what it could have been. 85 points for this bottle.

Plum, tomatoes, salami and paprika started off the nose of this atypical F77. It's got this odd deli meat taste, with stewed fruit. The flavor hits you right up front then vanishes. Its good.... but weak. something of an off bottle, but i'm not quite sure what's happened to it. 90.
