Re: Emoticon: “QuotePedant†

I was intrigued by the exclamation mark at the end of the sentence, which I thought should be a question mark. Maybe I could do a question-mark version. Not sure if there’s space. Tomorrow perhaps. If Symingtons will put all their 2007s in same-shaped bottles, they could even do a mixed in OWC.

Blind is easy as AHB is planning decanters not bottles. But I think we are all sufficiently competent not to be influenced by label.

The plan is that a TN writer can say “it was <this> colour†. That requires several colours. And the FF6633 isn’t far off the Borges 1963 we had at the TCP on Wed 30 Jan (though the colour was actually nearer FF9900).

Sandeman, Ferriera and Niepoort are available in other countries but their inclusion would be price prohibitive a reasonable excuse. an...

We can delay the LBV until June: no problem. And without “sotto voce comments†. (Though please re-title the thread.)

There might have to be a short-notice ‘emergency’ tasting in April, but that can be arranged separately.

G-man’s interpretation is his own.

but after drinking with fellow forum members, I can say that you, Alex, enjoy your ports really mature and mellow. KillerB likes it with some spice, so would expect a smaller decant window. Julian likes it like his japanese women; young, full bodied and spicy. :D G-man’s interpretation is his own.

Derek: you should sign the labels. Your labels should state, in 5-point writing, “Purchased <where purchased, lot #s> on <date>. New label by <full name not on public forum>†. If the bottle’s current owner should die before drinking, the next owner will be grateful.

Thank you for your enthusiastic comments. Upon reflection I agree: the tasting portions have too few pixels for the colours to be seen. So, below, find a proposed set of 39 new emoticons, needing only names. We could use the tedious colour codes, or appropriate refreshments. Suggest away! http://www...
