I just noticed I have a bit of an oddity: a Messias 1980 Colheita. Would you guys rather try the Niepoort Passadouro 95 or the Messias 80 Colheita? The Messias might fit with the 'curiousities' theme that seems to be developing here.

Graham 1983: Dark purple in color. Very nice dark, plummy nose with notes of floral perfume. On the palate, still fairly tannic, rich plummy flavor with a hint of dark roast coffee on the finish. Definitely my style of port, and my top port of the evening.

I believe all of the LBV's that people will be bringing are unfiltered. Maybe we should throw in a standard flitered LBV for comparison. I also just recently picked up a Quarles Harris 2001, which is filtered. Maybe I should add that one.

I liked the Ramos Pinto 1985 very much. Nicely purple color, nose sweet and somewhat floral. Good chocolaty flavor, rich, really quite solid. Still somewhat tannic with a bit of a caramel finish. Very good. 91 pts.
