1992 Quinta do Vesuvio Colheita

Drunk on the terrace at Vesuvio. Red ochre in colour, 50% opaque. Ground almonds and smokey golden sultanas on the nose, swet and rich smelling. Thick in texture, tasting of thick cut bitter marmalade, Seville oranges and brown sugar; unctuous and lovely. A bitter orange marmalade finish and a lovely length. 92/100. 26-Jun-16.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
