Brick red colour, 80% opaque. Well pronounced fragrant and floral nose with strawberries and crushed kaffir lime leaves. Smooth entry, round with pink marshmallow on the edges. Very soft tannins still sit wrapped in alpine strawberries and highlight the delicious floral elements to the late palate. The ginger root finish is a pleasant surprise, mixed in with sweet red jelly. Very long, very lovely port that is at its peak now. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

50% opacity, warm red. Soft fruit, strawberry on the nose. Velvety entry, heat mid to late palate, ripe red fruits, chewy strawberries. Long finish.
