Golden brown colour; 40% opaque. A gentle nose of hay and toffee apples precedes a rounded and slightly thick texture on entry with pineapple, mango and some lovely tropical fruit on the palate. There are even hints of tannins on the late palate before the lingering orange aftertaste takes over. A very enjoyable nightcap. 88/100. 29-Sep-16. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
