Deep red and opaque. A gentle nose of rich and sweet fruit with the rich fruit leading the impression on entry. The fruit gives way to powerful tannins on the mid-palate, which have a great grip but never to the extent of detracting from the fruit. The aftertaste is wonderful with a huge finish driven by the succulent fruit. Wonderful port. 94/100. Drunk 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
