1986 Graham Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red and youthful - but not too young; opaque. Deep and fruity nose of black cherry juice matching a deep, smooth palate of black cherry juice and sweet bramble. Smooth fruit but with chalky tannins lurking behind the bramble, which grows to a lovely, sweet mouthful. Dry and chalky aftertaste, full of the black bramble that goes on to deliver fruit, fruit and more fruit. This is delicious and so smooth. 92/100. Drunk 10-Nov-16. Decanted 8 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
