Deep red, young and opaque. Dark damsons dominate the very pronounced nose. Sweet fruit on the palate, full of floral tones managed to keep a good balance with the big tannins. This is big and powerful - a fabulous port for the future. 95/100.

Drunk at the Berry Brothers Port Walk on 24 Nov 2016.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
