2005 Dow Bomfim

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Sweet and soft on the nose with subdued fruit but very fresh compared to the Six Grapes. Fruit-led entry, slightly angular with noticeable acidity keeping the palate fresh; very soft tannins. Lovely burnt fruit aftertaste with a great persistence. More depth and weight than the Graham 2011 LBV. 90/100. Drunk 21-Feb-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
