SW70, brought by AHB. Red-pink, 40% opaque. Dry early palate. Long soft Port, very very long, but on the edge of drying out.

Mature brick red colour, 40% opaque. A wonderful nose of sweet mace and candied cherry. Lovely texture, smooth and elegant. Plenty of fruit with a nice cedar tone; but the fruit is fabulous, mature and elegant. Slightly dry aftertaste before a glorious and fragrant finish, which has a quick burst of orange at the end. 92/100. Drunk 10-May-17. Decanted 6 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
