Bottled in 1977 in a Wedgwood decanter in the shape of the Don. Pale gold in colour; a distinct nose of white port mixing plastic and petrol. Slightly warm on the palate with lots of petrol mixed with apricot and peach. Some acidity shows on the lingering petrol finish. Served blind this was guessed to be Kopke 10 year old white. 85/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
