40% opacity, warm red. Rich and sweet, strawberries, heat late palate, lively and lip-licking. Pleasant drinking port right now but perhaps not for the long run.

Rose red colour, but much lighter and with less depth than either the '94 or the '97. Restrained on the nose, showing virtually nothing. Smooth entry but very light impact; very gentle jelly fruit with nettles and dock leaves. The fruit grows beautifully on the palate giving a real presence. A lovely wave of red and bramble fruit on the aftertaste and filling the round and smooth finish. A lovely, elegant port, lingering and gentle. A very tasty port. 90/100. Decanted 5 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

GC91: glorious red. Full sweetness.

Late in the evening; becoming brief.
