Deep garnet in colour. Delivers a wonderful nose of eucalyptus and hot dust, just like a hot harvest day in the Douro — it even includes the faint smell of orange and lemon oil! Beautiful balance on the palate, an incredible elegance. The fruit is perfect and focused with a lovely balance. The ripe tannins only appear on the finish and aftertaste as a soft chocolate element. Very fine port. 24-May-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
