Deep brick red, 60% opaque. Nosing of roasted meat and juniper berries, quite an aggressive smell. Smooth entry with hints of tannins and lots of Douro bake to the extent of being overly baked and too sweet. A port to avoid. 72/100. 24-May-17.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
