Dark and mature colour, well pigmented but browning slightly; under candlelight, this was opaque. Delicious nose of Christmas fuit cake. Sweet on the entry with very good balance; not as intense as the Graham 1972 colheita but sweeter and more elegant with a lovely sweet figgy aftertaste. This was a thoroughly delicious port. 92/100. 19-Jun-17. Drunk 12 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
