1945 Amandio

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Tasted at the Confraria dinner, courtesy of Dirk Niepoort. Brick red, 40% opaque. A gentle nose of raisins and rhubarb; lovely thick texture with some gentle fruit on the palate with golden sultanas, dried figs and raisins showing, Gentle and lingering sweet raspberry aftertaste leading to a great finish. Despite the age, this port still has lots of fruit left. 88/100. 22-Jun-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
