1997 Ramos Pinto

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Tasted at the Confraria dinner. Strawberry and mulberry on the nose. Baked fruit on entry, dry tannins on the mid-palate and a dry aftertaste. Too much Douro bake to be balanced but this might integrate with more patience. 84/100. 22-Jun-17. Decanted 12 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
