NV Ferreira Tawny 20YO (bottled 2016)

Drunk at the Ferreira Lodge. Bottled 2016. Orange ochre colour, 20% opaque. Some gentle VA shows on the nose, soft and attractive. The port is sweet and focused on entry, thick in texture with lots of sweet candied orange on the palate. The lovely balance and very soft tannins combine to give a lovely lingering finish of soft red apples and brittle red toffee. 90/100. 22-Jun-17. Pop 'n' pour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
