2015 Ferreira Quinta do Porto
Drunk at the Ferreira Lodge. Quinta do Porto from Ferreira (cask sample). Deep purple colour with a very narrow rim. Gentle and subdued on the nose with some soft blueberries showing nicely. Smooth textured entry with lots of fruit and massive tannins. Esteva shows consistently under and over the ripe fruit. A big port of the palate, dry and chewy. The tannins are very drying and powerful on the aftertaste and deliver a long and chewy finish full of blackcurrant skins and pips. 90-92/100. 22-Jun-17. Pop 'n' pour.

Top Ports in 2022: Quinta do Noval Nacional 1931. I have never drunk such a wonderful bottle of Port. I cried with joy.
2023: Fonseca 1966. There are not many better Ports, except a good bottle of Fonseca 1927. Wow!
