1884 Ramos Pinto Colheita

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

A bottle drawn from the blending stocks in cask.

Deep brown colour. Huge nose, big and smelly with lots of rancio. High acidity on the palate with a burnt tone to the flavours. Huge acidity on the aftertaste with surprisingly powerful tannins on the finish that is full of burnt sugar. Not Rated. 23-Jun-17. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
