1985 Warre

Avalable from the Carlton Club @ £75 per bottle. Deep red colour, still opaque. Full of deep dark fruit on the palate, rich and powerful (which are not normally adjectives associated with Warre!). On the finish this is dominated by lots of black licorice. Very fine and very promising for 10 to 15 years time. 90/100. Drunk 03-Oct-17. Decanted 1 hour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
