Light brick red colour, 20% opaque. Cedar wood on the nose, pronounced and attractive. Light and smooth entry with little flavour at first, but this port develops beautifully on the mid-palate. Some dryness emerges under the fruit, with the whole being kept nicely fresh by the acidity. Gentle and flavoursome with noticeable tannins and a very long, lingering sweet fruit finish. Lovely port. 91/100. 19-Dec-17. Decanted 7 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

20% opacity, red-brown. Dusty leather nose. Smooth entry, syrupy, sweetness, some citric notes and slight bitterness in the finish.
