Ullaged to below low-shoulder, effectively only half a bottle of liquid in a 75cl container. Deep orange colour, the colour of a gentle tawny port yet with a hint of green on the rim. Soft and gentle on the nose with lots of orange and lots of barley sugar. Light bodied and with a pleasant texture there are dry tannins hidden under the sweet orange flavours. The aftertaste is soft and gentle, full of orange and slowly changes to a lingering barley-sugar finish. Perfectly pleasant port, similar to a reserve tawny. 81/100. Drunk 20-Dec-17. Pop 'n' pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
