2013 Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo LBV

Bottled unfiltered in May 2017. Modest red colour with a wide rim. An open nose of warm fruit and a hint of cheese! Soft entry, sweet — even slightly candied — glacé fruit. There is a slight bitterness to the aftertaste. This is quite a simple and light port, although nicely fragranced and pleasant to drink. 85/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
