1997 Ramos Pinto

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Brick red colour with a wide rim. Soft baked raspberry nose; soft and mature on the palate, very smooth with a lovely acidity highlighting the bubblegum flavours. The tannins are ghostly, the finish soft, flavoursome and long lasting. 88/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
