2015 Sandeman Seixo

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

15,000 bottles produced. 40-50% vinhas velhas with the balance of the grapes being Sousao and Touriga Nacional. Deep scarlet in colour. Sour cherry and black chocolate on the nose, with a nice touch of esteva. Rich, sweet fruit over very grippy toasted ripe tannins. Dark and chewy finish, long with black chocolate to the end. A big port with nice acidity and a good balance, a complete contrast to the 2013 vintage and to others from the 2015 vintage. 92-94/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
