Bottled 2016. Red-brown mahogany in colour, 60% opaque. Unusual nose, distinctly smelling of marmite! Sweet entry, bland and one-dimensional with hints of light honey. The mid-palate is a little better but starts to show a hot / burnt elastic tone. Not one to seek out if this is a typical bottle. 76/100. 06-Nov-17.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026
