2011 Berry Brothers

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From the 2017 Berry Brothers Port Walk.

Charles Symington confirmed that the 2011 Berry Brothers blend was not the same blend as any of the ports marketed under one of the Symington brands.

From magnum. Deep purple colour, opaque centre. A delicious yet floral nose. On the palate this has a smooth texture with velvety fruit and very rounded, ripe tannins; the fruit is generous. The aftertaste is fruit-forward in style and precedes a big finish. Typically for this vintage the fruit is rich and lush. This is a great port. 93/100. 23-Nov-17.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
