Pale orange rose colour, 20% opaque. A wonderful nose of spices and Christmas fruits. Delightful texture with rich and sweet fruit yet with life and acidic structure. Hints of licorice or aniseed on the late palate. Warm, slightly sticky aftertaste. Lovely candied cherry with Bertie Bassett black licorice finish. A real surprise and a fabulous bottle of port. 94/100. 05-Dec-17. Decanted 2 hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
